A code representing the provider’s Medicaid and/or CHIP enrollment status for the time span specified by the PRVDR_ENRLMT START_DT and PRVDR_ENRLMT_END_DT data elements.

Comments

The values in this field are also classified into four groups in the PRVDR_ENRLMT_STUS_CTGRY_CD variable. The PRVDR_MDCD_CHIP_ENRLMT_CD data element identifies whether the provider is enrolled in Medicaid, CHIP, both or not state plan affiliated.
