Provider Age (in Years)

This variable is contained in the following files:

PRVDR_AGE

Provider age in years as of the end of the last month with a record in the APR, or date of death if date of death is before the end of the APR month.

Comments

Applicable to individual providers only; derived from the same monthly Base record as the most recent value of PRVDR_ENT_TYPE_CD in the calendar year.

If PRVDR_AGE is greater than 125, then PRVDR_AGE is set to 125.

Values: Numeric value representing provider age, or null/missing.
